The National Rock & Pop Festival

The National Rock and Pop Festival is an annual event for young musicians. It is open to anyone under the age of 20 in fulltime education. It takes place in July at the National Indoor Arena (NIA) In Birmingham City Centre

Archbishop Grimshaw School has supported the festival from its inception in 1996, when it was The Solihull Music Festival. We do this by providing technical support. Our sound and lighting technicians   co-ordinate and organise sound, lighting, video and stage management.

Students from our 6th form are given the opportunity get involved in the technical side of  the festival, taking on roles such as camera operators, vision mixers, stage crew and ‘front of house’ personnel.
